1995-2001 JDM RD1 HONDA CRV Exhaust Oxygen Sensor
Plug and Play rear / downstream Oxygen Sensor for the JDM Honda CRV - 1995-2001
4-Wire Connector - Heated Oxygen Sensor - Installs in the J pipe on the exhaust manifold, behind the oil pan. Use a 22mm wrench to remove / install the new sensor.
A typical oxygen sensor lasts around 100K miles ~ these are a great way to ensure proper fuel mileage and smooth engine operation. If your car is exposed to snowy/icy environments, we suggest replacing these more often due to increased rate of corrosion in those regions.
The JDM CRV has 2 sensors in the exhaust system - The first is the Oxygen Sensor, in the lower part of the exhaust manifold. The second, is a temperature probe in the catalyst. The temp probe is not as important for engine function, when that one has an issue it will cause the "bacon" light to illuminate on the gauge cluster. You can correct that by grounding the wire to the probe. The Oxygen sensor is the primary data collection for the ECU to control engine operation based on the incoming air/fuel ratio.
